GAGE WHITNEY PACE WAS MENTIONED ON 24.

YES, THAT GAGE WHITNEY PACE. AS IN THE LAW FIRM THAT SAM SEABORN USED TO WORK FOR ON THE WEST WING.

I can't decide whether this was unintentional, some kind of inside joke (since Janeane Garafolo used to be on The West Wing and is now on 24, unfortunately not wearing Converse) or someone who used to work with Sorkin now works on 24 and slipped it there. I'm not sure Aaron Sorkin would approve.

I'm finding the American Idol auditions to be a bit boring this time around; I can't believe I put off my school-related readings to watch. Although Kara DioGuardi does bear a striking resemblance to Katharine McPhee. And despite my earlier assumptions that bringing her on would totally ruin the dynamic of the show for me, she's turning out to be my favorite. But things may change as the show progresses. We'll see.

Oh I LOVED KARA. Seriously. An honest, respectable female judge is just what this show was missing for me! And she's freaking hilarious. She's honest like Simon, but she's not so cruel, so it's really quite the perfect blend for me. I already really respect her opinion.

I LOVED the girl with the tattoos instantly. She's got great personality, and a great voice, so I'm rooting for her to do well. Everyone else was realllyyyyy boring (though, the way they're editting the bad clips together is actually kind of hilarious at times). Well, I kind of liked that young girl they said needed to grow teeth, in the black and white shirt. I really wish I remembered names...

How "America's Got Talent" was the lead up to that not-quite-blind guy? I must be a cold bitch, but I resent sympathy ploys.

Kara was really awesome last night. She definitely knows her stuff. Plus, she totally fits in with the other three, and balances out Paula's craziness :)

I really liked the girl who sang "Put Your Records On" - I think her name was Arianna? Whichever judge said that was the perfect song for her (I think it was Paula) was definitely right; she sang it beautifully. I was so proud because that's one of my favorite songs and I was glad to see it wasn't totally ruined/butchered because some amateur sang it. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on her!
