I'm exhausted, sore, and mentally worn out, but I think that's how you're supposed to feel on your first day of college. I'm going to community college this year, and planning to transfer to a larger university next fall. Community college is a lot like high school, but a little bit bigger. I'm still living at home, and I've only met a few people in passing (a lot of whom are much older than me). It's an interesting experience.
So. First day of classes. I was very close to being late to my first class this morning (English 101) due to the fact that we were stopped by a train on our way over. But I made it to class with five minutes to spare. The class is usually an hour and a half long, but I was only there less than five minutes because the instructor didn't show up. So I basically signed in and then went to the library until the bookstore opened at 9. I spent that time saving Matt&Harriet screencaps for my
picspammy project. I miss
Studio 60 dearly.
Next, Statistics. I have this class four days a week, but I'm only in class for an hour, so it works. The class is in the College's newest building, and it's really nice and modern. But the classroom is freezing. The professor is pretty interesting as well: he's on the older side and has this really dry sense of humor. He's got this really odd way of how our homework should be done as well. So we'll see how this one goes.
I had a long two-hour break in between Stats and my next class (Astronomy), so I spent a little time at the library and then went to eat my lunch (I packed it at home). I watched a little bit of
ER on TNT during this time, so it was nice.
Astronomy looks like it's going to be a lot of fun; the professor is great and has a good sense of humor. I'm only one of 8 or so females, which is interesting. We worked on a worksheet today and I barely knew any of it. It's only an introductory course, but all this is brand new to me, so it might be harder than I thought.
I spent over $300 on books for today's classes. If this continues, Dad will surely kill me.
Tomorrow is going to be A LOT easier than today, since I only have two classes right near each other: Statistics and American Government, which I'm really excited about because politics is one of my loves.

Cracked open my
Office DVDs and watched a bit last night; That blooper reel is quite possibly the best thing ever. I love the cast of
The Office too much because of it. AND I WANT ICONS!
I got almost halfway through "Money" with commentary before heading to bed, so I definitely plan on finishing it ASAP. And watching other important episode with commentary and more deleted scenes as well.

Now to go home, where I plan on watching
The Daily Show from last night as well as more from
The Office DVDs, and then attempt Stats homework for tomorrow. And then later tonight I'm going to try and watch Sarah Palin's convention speech. She's never spoken to this large of an audience before, so it'll be interesting.
