1. Leave a comment saying you would like to be interviewed.
2. I will then respond with 5 questions that could be personal, but not extremely so.
3. Then update your LJ with the questions I've asked.
4. Put these same rules (or something that resemble these rules) with your questions.
5. When people ask you to interview them, you will ask them 5 questions.

1) Who is your favorite male celebrity?
I wouldn't say that I have a "favorite", but there are several male celebrities whom I greatly respect. I like Kiefer Sutherland; He's been around for over 20 years and is nowhere near close to fizzing out. He has an impressive film career (working alongside some of Hollywood's A-list) and with the success of 24, he's become well known across the world. I absolutely love Neil Patrick Harris; he was a child star back in the 80s but unlike a lot of actors in that same category, he's on a hit TV show. (How I Met Your Mother, for which he received an Emmy nom this year!) And even though he's in his 30's, he still loves Sesame Street. And to state the obvious, I like John Krasinski. He's funny, smart, personable and just and all-around great guy. And he's pretty much Jim Halpert, so that's a plus :)

2) If you could only listen to one musical artist for the rest of your life, who would it be and what song of theirs is your favorite?
It's a tie between Maroon 5 and Death Cab For Cutie. With M5, I absolutely love Adam Levine's voice, and Jesse Carmichael has to be on of the best keyboardists I've heard. Plus, their good friends with Rashida Jones and she's done backup on a few of their songs. My favorite one by them (as of late, at least) is "Better That We Break" off It Won't Be Soon Before Long. It's little-known and has beautiful lyrics and a great piano melody. I like that Death Cab has been around since 2003 but has only been popular for the past 2 or so, and that there's a lot of variety between their albums. I love the song "Soul Meets Body" off Plans. Unconventional lyrics = ♥.

3) What would your dream date entail?
I'm pretty low-maintenance, and introverted as well, so I'm happy with just a dinner at a nice restaurant. And maybe watching a movie afterwards.

4) What is your favorite book?
You have to understand that I haven't read a book that I've picked out myself in a long time. I usually read stuff for school or books that people have recommended. I've got pretty specific tastes in books; mostly chick lit. That being said, I really, really like anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I read The Great Gatsby for my research paper junior year and loved it. Babylon Revisited was in my American Lit textbook and I read that on a whim and loved it. I bought a copy of The Last Tycoon at a thrift store over the summer and haven't read it yet only because I've been so busy. I also loved The Choice by Nicholas Sparks, which [livejournal.com profile] tunaeverynight recommended. It's incredibly sweet and heartbreaking, and I highly recommend it as well.

5) Would you rather be best friends with Pam, or the girlfriend of Jim?
This is such a difficult question, as Pam and Jim are my favorite characters on The Office. I've always seen a little bit of myself in Pam, so would I want to be best friends with myself? Probably not. So I guess I'd want to Jim's girlfriend. And since I'm like Pam in a lot of ways, our relationship would be just like it is on TV!

I had my first English class today; I HATED IT. The professor was two minutes late (which is no big deal), but we had to wait outside the classroom, which was pretty annoying. She's a short African-American woman whose demeanor I can't really describe. She's not mean, but she treated our entire class like they were a bunch of idiots. And even though it's an English class, we're learning about the 19th Century (that's the 1800's) and the role of women. SOUNDS LIKE HISTORY, RIGHT? THAT'S A WHOLE OTHER CLASS, LAST TIME I CHECKED.

So I went on Rate My Professor and looked her up - all of her reviews are absolutely terrible. I told my parents about her, and so I've dropped the class and waiting to hear if I can get into a later one, which happens to be taught by my College Writing teacher from High School. I'm hoping it works out because I have no other options that work with my current schedule.

The only class I haven't had yet is Speech, I have it tomorrow afternoon. I looked up my professor and found mixed reviews: he's arrogant, he's funny, he's a strict grader and gives a lot of work. I'm really holding out for Speech because I really like English-type classes, and since my actual English class didn't work out so well, I don't want Speech to be ruined because it'll just ruin ALL English classes I have at College. So we'll see how it goes.
