too east for love.
Jun. 10th, 2008 05:22 pmSubject line brought to by American Eagle, which had a shirt on clearance that said "Too Fast For Love", but my dsylexic brain interpreted as "Too East For Love". Stupid, I know.

The interview wasn't as I expected. I ended up turning the job down, but I don't think I was really going to get the job anyway. I guess I imagined that the process would be more traditional, but instead I spent 90 minutes listening to a presentation on knives (Seriously). I knew about a half-hour in that this job wouldn't be a good fit for me. I'm not really good around people. So, I turned down the position (it was really awkward for the interviewer to send me off), and walked to the mall nearby.
IT WAS A LONG WALK. I got several blisters, and it was painful walking around the mall in heels. And I only had eight dollars with me, so I couldn't really buy anything. And I forgot my camera, so I could take a picture of the awesome dresses I found. (I fell in love with a dress similar to this at Express, but it was grey instead of black&white. ♥!! So sad I couldn't buy it.) But I did have delicious Mrs. Fields cookies, and get an application for The Gap!
So I'm back to square one in terms of a job search. I definitely learned a lot from this experience, namely RESEARCH THE JOB. I hope the job at Gap works out, but I'll keep looking.
I'm going to watch Beach Games&The Job and drown my sorrows in that. WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE TV, LIFE?

Going to a Detroit Tigers game with Dad&Monica tomorrow night, woot.
