At the library right now. I haven't actually stayed here longer than a few minutes - I came in briefly a few weeks ago to pick up The Thumpin'. I really don't like using the computers here (the one at home or the ones at school are a heck of a lot better), but I'm making do. I picked up Anderson Cooper's book Dispatches From the Edge (thus continuing my streak of reading political non-fiction/memoirs) and the sixth season of The West Wing on DVD. Season 7 was already checked out, and I'm nearly done with the 6th (only about 5 eps left, plus I watched the finale this morning when it was on Bravo), but I can watch them on TV instead of the computer, in time to spend spring break marathoning it. That is, if I don't have tons of homework to do then. I've got two weeks to figure something out.
Thoughts on this week's TV:
It's Conan O'Brien's last show tonight :(((( I'm buying this and this to remember it by.
Thoughts on this week's TV:
- Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch House on TV like I wanted to. Instead, I had to go to a Church thing where in I was lectured on things I had learned sophomore and senior year of high school; ironic, given the nature of the case. But I watched it online on Tuesday during my break, and thought it was a much need upgrade from the past few eps. Plus, how cute were Chase and Cameron? VERY.
- Morris was on 24 this week! For like, two seconds. And we finally got to see their baby - although he looks about 4 or 5. I was kind of hoping she'd have a girl, but either way, you've got Morris and Chloe as your parents. MORRIS AND CHLOE. I can't even imagine the kind of problems Prescott (means "Priest's Cottage" - LAME) is going to have when he's older.
- I don't have a lot to say about American Idol, other than no one seems to be taking the advice of picking the right song, especially when the theme is "songs from the Billboard 100", when they're songs everyone knows or at least has heard of. I don't listen to The Police's "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" the same way now that Casey Carlson butchered it, nor will I ever think that rendition of "I'm Yours" did Jason Mraz proud. The group songs/medleys are my absolute favorite part of the show, so to see them perform that song (which I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE) was absolutely awful to me. I am pretty happy to see who's going to be in the Top 12 (I voted for Alexis and Danny), and hope that Anoop makes it to the wild card round and hopefully into the Top 12. He's defied expectations and can actually sing! Also, I secretly think Carly and Michael are married to each other. Or not. They look good together!
- I'm pretty much echoing everyone else's thought's on Lost - I'm hoping Ben didn't kill Penny, Kate was pretty out of character, loved the throwback to the pilot episode. But I do have to offer this: Lost Untangled, which re-enacts episodes with action figures and paper dolls. It's really, really funny, and helps me make sense of all the crazy things that happen on that show.
- Disappointed that there isn't another new episode of The Office for another two weeks, but what upsets me more is that we're getting the Valentine's Day episode nearly a month after Valentine's Day actually occurred. WTF, NBC? You should've made that two-parter into an hour-long and moved it to 8:30 (does anyone still watch Kath & Kim?) That way we would have The Office and 30 Rock Valentine's Day eps at the same time, and would still come out even. Who exactly is making the scheduling decisions over there? They're doing an awful job.
