I feel a little bit better today, although I woke up at 1 PM and didn't get things going until 2:30, which is never a good sign. I hate being on break sometimes. Or it might be the fact that although it's December, it's currently 50-something degrees outside with a super strong wind. WHAT THE HECK.
I finally got around to watching the Mad Men pilot yesterday. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I can totally see why this won an Emmy this year - it has great writing, a great cast, great cinematography and some ace music. I'm totally obsessed with the theme song now. My favorite character at this point is Peggy. I love her naivete and eagerness. And how nice she was with the telephone operators! I will try to be like her in my future job as much as possible. I really like Don as well, just because he's Don Draper. Although watching that SNL parody a few weeks ago pretty much sealed the deal for me. Mr. Sterling is awesome as well just because of his snarkiness. A+, show on AMC about NYC ad executives in the 1960'swho like to dance with the stars and makeover homes in an extreme way! You have gained a new, super obsessed fan. AND I'VE ONLY WATCHED THE PILOT, WHATWHAT.
I'm now in the process of putting more episodes on my iPod to watch. MOAR MAD MEN!
I ordered Mad Men season 1 and Sports Night off of Amazon.com today, and they should be here within a few weeks. Between those and the books I got and working on my picfor1000 assignment, this break is going to fly by. At least I hope it does. I really need some cheering up.
